Freedom Restored for Nabeeha’s Siblings

nabeehaThe four surviving siblings of the late Nabeeha Al-Kadriyah have been successfully liberated. It is recalled that these sisters, along with their father, were abducted in the Zuma 1 area of Bwari Area Council on January 2nd.

While their father was subsequently released to facilitate ransom negotiation, the family’s inability to meet the kidnappers’ demands within a stipulated deadline resulted in the tragic death of Nabeeha. Following this, the ransom demand was increased from N60 million to N100 million, accompanied by a threat to harm the remaining sisters. Also read about Who is Moses Bliss

Moved by the plight of the family, concerned Nigerians offered assistance to prevent further harm to the remaining siblings. Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Federal Capital Territory Police, confirmed the successful release on Sunday morning.

Although there are indications that the N100 million ransom may have been paid prior to their release, the PPRO clarified that the FCT Anti-Kidnapping squad, in collaboration with Nigerian Army troops, conducted a joint operation to rescue the victims in the Kajuru forest of Kaduna State on Saturday night at approximately 11:30 pm.
